DIRECT ACTING SOLENOID VALVES

Direct acting solenoid are independent of the incoming water pressure using a diaphragm directly linked to the armature. When the coil is energised the armature lifts the seal from valve orifice thus allowing flow through the valve.

They are supplied normally closed and provide effective on/off control of the liquid under low pressure applications typically less than 0.2 bar. The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF , UL/CSA and ENEC.

An electrically operated direct acting solenoid valve is primarily used as a drain valve in cold water drink dispensers, water tanks and similar appliances. It operates in a pressure range of 0 to 0.2 bar with direct action only.

The valve can be made in combination of single, double or triple valve body.

LATCHING/BI-STABLE SOLENOID VALVES

Through the use of a magnet, the latching valves are bi-stable which allows them to stay in either state indefinitely without drawing any power. To shift the valve from one state to another, a short 25 millisecond DC voltage is applied to the coil. To shift the valve back, a reverse polarity pulse is applied. Result is an extremely low power usage and negligible valve coil temperature rise, subsequently providing very long battery life. Latching valve is inbuilt in automatic water faucets, urinal flushing systems, auto and sensor taps, vending machines, irrigation systems etc.

We can provide electronic control modules that are used in conjunction with bistable valves or complete sets including valve, electronic module and housing.

Latching solenoid valves, also referred to as bi-stable solenoid valves uses a permanent magnet attached to the armature, when energised with short 250msec 6 volt pulse the armature is forced into either open or closed state depending on the signal polarity. They provide effective on/off control of water services ranging from 0.2 – 10bar where a constant supply of electrical power is either not appropriate or available. The range is available with the following approvals : WRAS , NSF , & UL/CSA.

The valve can be made in combination of single, double or triple valve body.

PROPORTIONAL SOLENOID VALVES

The Proportional Solenoid Valve offers the same On/Off control as standard Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves but with the added functionality to control the flow of water passing over the valve orifice. Proportional control is offered across hot and cold water supplies from 0.5 up to 12 litres per minute within dynamic pressure range from 0.5-10 bar.

It provides variable water flow control via electronic PWM drive with feedback loop for flow and other critical parameters. It is used in electrically pumped and/or heated showers and taps.

The valve can be controlled using 24VDC power supply or pulse width modulated signal to provide variable control when used in closed loop systems.

The valve can be made in combination of single, double or triple valve body.
